Therapeutic indication: Hypocalcemia & Antacid & Hyperphosphatemic & Calcium deficiency
Dosage and Administration: Tablet: 500mg calcium ion
Dosage form not appropriate for use in children
Hypocalcemia: Adult males & females: 800-1200mg/d
Pregnant & breast-feeding females: 1200mg/d
Antihyperphosphatemic: oral 5 to 13gr (2 to 5.2gr of calcium ion)/d, in divided doses with meals.
Antacid: 1 to 2 tabs/d.Fllow with 1/2 to1 glass of water or other liquid.
Side effect: Renal calculi, hypercalcemic syndrome (Early symptoms: constipation, dryness of mouth, headache, increased thirst, irritability, loss of appetite, mental depression, metallic taste, tiredness or weakness. Late symptoms: confusion, drowsiness, high blood pressure, increased sensivity of eyes or skin to light, irregular fast or slow heartbeat, nausea and vomiting)

Pharmacotherapeutic group: Amino acid derivatives & Nutritional supplement
Therapeutic indication: Primary systemic canitine deficiency & canitine deficiency in end-stage renal disease
Dosage and Administration: Tablet 250mg & Syrup 250mg/5ml & Syrup 500mg/5ml (Elnitine®)
Adult: oral; initially 1gr once a day with food, the dosage being increased slowly as needed and tolerated. For a 50kg patient, the usual dose is 1gr one to three times a day with meals.
Pediatric: oral; initially 50mg/kg a day with food, the dosage being increased slowly as needed and tolerated. The usual dose is 50 to 100mg/kg a day with meals (Max 3gr/d).
